Via Wooster Collective:
“Si Ves Algo Di Algo” (If You See Something Say Something) is the phrase made infamous by the NYC transit authority, aka the MTA. To the MTA that means spy on your neighbor and report everything and anyone you suspect may be a terrorist or a threat to the security of the norm. I prefer to see the meaning of that phrase as a reminder to us to keep our eyes open and react to and interact with our evironments in positive ways.
Ooh, how very 1984. I appreciate the comment on reacting and interacting, because that’s largely what I’m doing with this blog. Which leads me to a friendly reminder: pass on the things that interest you (to myself or to your neighbours), and comment on a post if you react strongly either way – it will help me keep the ball rolling with new posts!

I Stumble!d upon this list of tips to detoxify your body and mind, in order to improve your quality of life.
Of course, I would have minor beef with tip #2:
2. Limit your online activity: It’s pretty much impossible not to log on to your e-mail accounts everyday, but limit the rest of your online activity, including going to fluff sites and playing online games. You’ll be more productive and will probably end up using the time you would have wasted on something more important and fulfilling.
Then again, I’m usually reading when I’m online, not playing games. Whew, dodged a bullet there. BLOGGING IS NOT TOXIC, PEOPLE.
Can I mention, in passing, that #16 does not seem natural, regardless of its popularity?
16. Consider a colon cleansing: Colon cleansings are believed to remove the body of parasites and other toxins that can interfere with digestion and general health.
Gross. And as for tip #10?
Breathe deeply: Breathing deeply increases the flow of oxygen into your body and relax your mind.
Well, shit. Sucks to my ass-mar.
Full detox article here. :)

This is not self-serving because I don’t run ads, since my blog is too small as of yet to bother…but I had to share this short article from Seth’s Blog on how Ads are the new online tip jar. It opened my eyes to how a pesky ad for readers equals much appreciated income for a hard-working blogger (read: not a big evil corporation).

This sounds interesting but, in the light of new and reliable amino acid technology that can identify and [organically] resolve specific underlying causes of “untreatable” depression (I will be highlighting details of this company‘s research in the near future), I wouldn’t give it too much credit yet.
The article on brain stimulating electrodes here.
